East Greenland Fjords

A photographic record from a few months on a research ship along Greenland's east coast in late summer 2024.

The Arctic, shaped by sea ice, mist, and cold water, felt dark and mysterious. Low clouds and fog hung in the air. The constant chance of polar bears added a quiet tension to this silent, uncertain, and starkly beautiful landscape.
