About
All photographs featured on this website are my personal interpretations of the places I have visited. They are shaped by mood, atmosphere, emotion, and the moment itself.
I believe that the way we see and interpret the world is what makes creative work truly individual.
My name is Maciej. I am a self-taught photographer based in the UK.
Alongside my full-time job, photography gives me a way to document life, travel, and the world around me. My camera is more than just a tool; it helps me slow down, observe, and connect with the places I visit.
I don’t limit my photography to a single genre. I photograph whatever catches my eye, from landscapes and nature to travel moments, lifestyle scenes, and small man-made details. Together, these elements help tell the story of a place, a journey, or a moment.
I am especially drawn to simple, understated scenes. They may appear ordinary at first, but they often hold a sense of calm, character, or quiet beauty. Details of flora and fauna also appear throughout my work, reflecting the natural character of the places I have been fortunate to explore.
I work with both analogue and digital cameras. Each format has its own qualities, and I enjoy the process of editing my photographs in a way that reflects how I experienced the moment.
I believe in choosing the right tool for the image rather than searching for one perfect tool. Every camera, lens, and format brings its own strengths and limitations, and learning how to work with them is part of the creative process.
One personal detail that influences the way I see the world is my red-green colour deficiency, the most common form of colour blindness. It can make it difficult for me to distinguish certain shades of red and green, especially when colours contain those tones. Because of this, I often pay closer attention to light, contrast, texture, shape, and composition.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy exploring my work.
